Senior Finance & Fund Operations Manager

Senior Finance & Fund Operations Manager

Location: Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan
Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer
Team: Finance & Fund Operations | Direct reports: 1–2

Salary range: TWD 70,000–170,000, depending on qualifications and fit.

The Role
We are looking for a Senior Finance & Fund Operations Manager to lead the firm’s finance and fund operations across Cayman, Taiwan, and U.S. entities, including investment funds, GPs, management companies, and related vehicles.
Reporting directly to the COO, this is a senior, hands-on role combining ownership of day-to-day operations with oversight of external service providers and management of 1–2 junior team members. Some entities use external fund administrators, while others are managed substantially in-house, so the role requires someone comfortable both executing directly and reviewing outsourced work.

Key Responsibilities
• Fund operations: Own fund accounting and operations, including NAVs, capital calls and distributions, management fees, fund expenses, cash movements, reconciliations, investor-related operations, and fund lifecycle events.
• Finance & accounting: Oversee books and records, AP/AR, entity-level accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, expense allocations, and intercompany transactions.
• Multi-entity oversight: Manage finance and operations across Cayman, Taiwan, and U.S. funds, GPs, management companies, and related entities.
• In-house administration: Directly manage accounting and fund administration processes for entities not outsourced to an external administrator, maintaining strong records, controls, and supporting schedules.
• Tax, audit & compliance: Coordinate audits, financial statements, tax filings, FATCA/CRS, economic substance, corporate filings, and other recurring requirements with relevant advisors.
• Treasury & banking: Oversee bank accounts, payments, capital movements, liquidity, reconciliations, approval controls, KYC, and banking relationships.
• External providers: Manage and review the work of fund administrators, accountants, auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, banks, and corporate service providers, ensuring quality, accuracy, timeliness, and appropriate costs.
• Team leadership: Manage and develop 1–2 junior team members and establish clear workflows, calendars, documentation, review procedures, and scalable internal controls.
• Management support: Provide the COO and Managing Partners with financial reporting, analysis, and support on ad hoc finance, fund, and entity matters.

Candidate Profile
• 7+ years of relevant experience in fund operations, fund accounting, finance, audit, accounting, or investment-management operations.
• Strong understanding of private investment fund structures, including funds, GPs, and management companies.
• Experience with Taiwan and/or U.S. entities and cross-border structures is highly valuable.
• Strong accounting fundamentals and ability to independently review financial statements, ledgers, reconciliations, allocations, and fund reporting.
• Comfortable both doing the work in-house and managing external providers—this is not purely an oversight role.
• Experience managing junior team members and multiple entities, jurisdictions, vendors, and deadlines.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, hands-on, and proactive, with a strong control mindset.
• Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills and familiarity with accounting, banking, and fund administration systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin).
• Ability to work full time in the office in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan.
• Experience in private equity, venture capital, asset management, family offices, fund administration, or Big Four/accounting is preferred. CPA or a similar qualification is a plus but not required.

What Success Looks Like
You will be the internal owner of Finance & Fund Operations, ensuring the firm’s entities, funds, financial records, providers, filings, and controls operate accurately and on time. The goal is a function that is reliable, well-controlled, hands-on, and scalable, giving the COO and Managing Partners confidence that the firm’s financial and operational infrastructure is in excellent shape.
